Preparations Well Underway - Sheep Classes looking very healthy

The show ground preparations are well underway and committee members are hard at work preparing the show field for the thousands of visitors expected at this years show.

For the 1st time we have 20 different breeds of sheep at the show this year, along with shearing demonstrations (See blackboard near the Sheep pens for times), by Ollie Cole and commentary of what shearing is and how it is done, by Mr Robert Steer. Hopefully some local young farmers will be having a go as well, and they can be found near the Countryside Marquee, along with a Tractor full of DUCKS!

There will also be a Spinning demonstration by Fiona West, which will be in the Fleece Wool Tent in the sheep area commencing after the Judging of the Wool Classes. The Fleece Judge, Mr Mike Berry will be on hand for a while after Judging to answer any wool questions you may have.

Judging of the Sheep will commence from 9.30 am and finish we hope by 2.00pm with the Interbreed Championship.
