The In Hand Champion Donkey at this Show automatically qualifies for
the relevant Championship at the DBS Annual Supreme Championship Show
on 20/21st August 2005 at Stafford, provided it is owned by a fully paid
up member of the DBS. A Donkey may win more than one Championship at shows
but will qualify only once for the DBS Supreme Championship Show.
Where the In Hand Champion Donkey has previously qualified, the Reserve
Champion Donkey will be deemed the Qualifier.
A Special Rosette will be awarded by the DBS at our Annual Championship
Show to the qualifying donkeys in attendance

6 oz margarine 6 oz castor sugar 8 oz mixed fruit (sultanas, currants)
2 oz glace cherries, 8oz SR. flour 3 eggs 1 -2tblspmilk
1 tsp. mixed spice
Method:
Sift flour and spice, cream margarine and sugar until soft, add eggs separately
with a little flour, add rest of flour and milk, mix until smooth consistency.
Add fruit. Turn into a greased 7” round tin. Bake in moderate oven
(325/350°f 180°c gas mark 3-4) approx. 1 /4hr.

Method:
Line a 7” round cake tin. Rub the fat into the flour and salt, until
the mixture resembles fine
breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar and fruit. Make a well in the centre, pour
in the eggs and some
milk, mix, adding more milk to give a dropping consistency. Put mixture
into tin and bake at 350° F/l60°C or gas mark 4 for 1 hour or
until golden brown and firm to touch

6 ozs castor sugar 4 oz butter 6 ozs SR flour 2 oz granulated sugar
grated rind and juice of two lemons 2 beaten eggs 3-4 tblsp milk
Method:
Cream butter, castor sugar and lemon rind until fluffy, gradually beat
in eggs. Add flour with about
3 - 4 tblsp. milk to give a dropping consistency, Spoon mixture into a
21b Loaf Tin. Bake in moderate oven 350°f 180°c or Gas 4 for 45
- 50 ruins.
Mix lemon juice and granulated sugar together, when cake is out of the
oven and still in the tin, pierce top all over and pour over the lemon
syrup, remove from tin when cold.

The In Hand Champion Donkey at this Show automatically qualifies for
the relevant Championship at the DBS Annual Supreme Championship Show
on 20/21st August 2005 at Stafford, provided it is owned by a fully paid

but will qualify only once for the DBS Supreme Championship Show.
Where the In Hand Champion Donkey has previously qualified, the Reserve
Champion Donkey will be deemed the Qualifier.
